Why shrimp is great for babies

Lean protein with iodine, selenium and B12. Shellfish is a common allergen — introduce deliberately.

How to serve at 6–8 months

Cook well and chop very finely, mixed into mash, congee, or scrambled eggs.

How to serve at 9–11 months

Finely chopped cooked shrimp.

How to serve at 12+ months

Small pieces of well-cooked shrimp (halve lengthwise, then chop).
