Why banana is great for babies

Easy energy with potassium and vitamin B6. Very ripe bananas are easiest to digest.

How to serve at 6–8 months

Snap a ripe banana in half and leave some peel on the bottom half as a natural handle, or cut into thick spears. Whole banana rounds are slippery — avoid coin shapes.

How to serve at 9–11 months

Offer small bite-size pieces for pincer-grasp practice, or continue with spears.

How to serve at 12+ months

Sliced, whole (supervised), or mashed into oatmeal and yogurt.
