Why avocado is great for babies

Loaded with healthy fats for brain development, plus folate and fiber.

How to serve at 6–8 months

Offer thick spears (about the size of two adult fingers) of ripe avocado. Roll in a little ground flax or crushed baby cereal for grip. Mashed avocado on a preloaded spoon also works well.

How to serve at 9–11 months

Cut into bite-size cubes for developing pincer grasp, or keep offering spears. Mash onto strips of toast.

How to serve at 12+ months

Serve diced, sliced, or mashed — on toast, in quesadillas, or straight with a fork.
