How to serve at 6–8 months
Steam or roast thick sticks or halved large carrots until a fork slides in easily. Mashed cooked carrot also works.
How to serve at 9–11 months
Soft-cooked bite-size pieces or continue soft sticks.
How to serve at 12+ months
Soft-cooked pieces, or finely grated raw. Raw sticks and coins stay off the menu until at least age 4.
